The third Battalion The Mercian Regiment have spent this weekend celebrating their most prestigious battle honour while they’re deployed on operations in Afghanistan.
The Battle of Ferozeshah dates again to the nineteenth century in the course of the first Sikh warfare. However as Ali Gibson came upon, this would be the final ever time that they get to mark it as a battalion.
