Heartbreaking First World Warfare Letters Found 27.08.14



Heartbreaking letters from grieving households within the First World Warfare have been revealed after being stored in an Army trunk for 100 years.

Captain Evan Silk had the grim job of writing to households from the trenches to inform them their relative had died.

He acquired lots of of letters thanking him for informing them together with pleas for additional info.

His son Paul has launched the archive to the general public and Kate Wathall went to see them.
