Retired SEAL and writer Ephraim Mattos was shot within the calf whereas volunteering as a medic with the Iraqi Army as he was transitioning out of the Navy. It was all caught on digital camera and went viral.
He recovered from his wound, and ever since, he is been working consistently to proceed a lifetime of service and to assist individuals who want it most in a few of the most violent locations on the planet. That is why he began Stronghold Rescue & Reduction, a non-profit constructed to offer help to individuals in literal conflict zones.
