Air Drive plans demos, performances for Air Drive Day on the Alamo April 4 > Sixteenth Air Drive (Air Forces Cyber) > Newsroom



JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas – Air Schooling and Coaching Command officers will maintain the annual Air Drive Day the Alamo April 4, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Alamo Plaza in downtown San Antonio.


The occasion is free and open to the general public, and can function demonstrations and performances by Joint Base San Antonio models together with the Army Working Canines Demo Workforce; Explosive Ordnance Detachment Demo Workforce; Lackland Drum & Bugle Corps; and america Air Drive Band of the West.


The occasion, held every year throughout Fiesta, celebrates the Air Drive’s enduring and centuries-long partnership with leaders from throughout MilitaryCity USA.


 “Coaching has been a central a part of the army mission in San Antonio because the neighborhood donated 90 acres of land to assemble the historic quadrangle at Fort Sam Houston in 1870,” stated Lt. Gen. Brad Webb, AETC commander.  “From primary army coaching to medical, technical, cyber, and flying coaching, lots of of hundreds of women and men who put on our nation’s uniform have come by way of San Antonio on their journey of serving our nation. The success of our mission is for certain due to the unwavering help offered by Army USA.”


Fiesta celebrations date again to 1891 when horse-drawn carriages circled Alamo Plaza and individuals pelted one another with flowers. At the moment’s Fiesta San Antonio has grown into an 11-day celebration of numerous heritage, cultures and traditions.
