Alert: Kilauea Volcano Eruption Spreads Once more, Sends ‘Lava Bombs’ 500 Toes In The Air

The eruption of the Kilauea Volcano on Hawaii’s Huge Island continues, having now created 19 fissures within the japanese rift zone amongst housing subdivisions close to the island’s southeastern nook. One of many latest fissures has been seen tossing “spatter bombs” of lava distances of as much as 500 ft, based on the U.S. Geological Survey.

At the very least three dozen buildings have already been broken or destroyed by lava from the fissures, which started opening up over ten days in the past within the Leilani Estates neighborhood of Puna.

A USGS webcam caught the under shot of particles or spatter being flung from the Pu?u ?O?o Crater within the japanese rift zone.
