The PDSA Dickin Medal – the animal equal of a Victoria Cross – has been posthumously awarded to a army working canine killed in Afghanistan.
Sacha – a four-year-old labrador – died alongside her handler Lance Corporal Kenneth Rowe, whereas on patrol in Helmand Province in July 2008.
