Bagoeño leads AFP elite unit

Negrense Army Col. Eliglen Villaflor is the brand new commander of Armed Forces of the Philippines – Joint Particular Operations Group (JSOG).

JSOG supervises elite items of the AFP within the conduct of extremely specialised operations, similar to anti-guerilla and counter-terrorist, intelligence and counter intelligence, in addition to catastrophe aid, rescue and rehabilitation operations.

Previous to his current place, Villaflor, of Brgy. Ma-ao, Bago Metropolis, Negros Occidental, served as chief of workers, deputy and later as performing commander of the Special Forces Regiment (Airborne) and director of the Army Personnel Administration Middle.

JSOG can be below the supervision of AFP Particular Operations Command, which has the management of all Philippines navy particular operations items.

AFP SOCOM is headed by Maj. Gen. Francisco Ariel Felicidario III.

Felicidario was beforehand assigned in Negros as commander of the first Scout Ranger Battalion, whereas Villaflor served as commander of the thirty second Special Forces Firm.

One of many predecessors of Villaflor, Col. Oriel Pangcog, at JSOG, and newly-designated Army’s 1st Infantry Division Commander, Maj. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete, additionally served as 1st SR Battalion commander in central Negros.

Villaflor is a member of the Philippine Navy Academy Class of 1992. He holds a level on Masters on Human Useful resource Administration from College of Newcastle in Australia and Masters in Public Administration Main in Growth and Safety from the Growth Academy of the Philippines.*
