The Taliban assault on Camp Bastion by which two US marines died has been blamed on complacency. MPs on the defence choose committee have discovered safety was insufficient, and that British commanders should shoulder their share of the blame. Of their report the committee say they’re “happy that so far as doable” safety vulnerabilities have now been addressed.
