Black Containers Recovered from Alaska Army Helicopter Crash Web site

JUNEAU, Alaska — U.S. army investigators have recovered flight knowledge recorders from two Army helicopters that collided final week in a distant space of Alaska’s inside, killing three troopers and injuring one other, the Army stated Wednesday.

Two helicopters from the first Assault Battalion, twenty fifth Aviation Regiment at Fort Wainwright collided about 50 miles (80 kilometers) east of Healy after they have been getting back from coaching on April 27, the Army has stated. Healy is about 80 miles (129 kilometers) southwest of Fairbanks.

A non-public memorial is scheduled for Thursday at Fort Wainwright, close to Fairbanks.

The injured soldier is recuperating at dwelling after being launched from the hospital, the Army stated. The soldier’s title has not been launched.
