Kent served as a employees CIA case officer within the Nineteen Nineties, and as a contractor after 9/11. He has labored in numerous capacities in intelligence positions in Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe and the Center East. His specialty is Counter-terrorism and Islamic Extremism.
Kent has additionally labored Counter-intelligence, Counter-proliferation, Counter-narcotics, and different targets. Along with intensive liaison work with international intel providers, he has labored within the US Intel Neighborhood in inter-agency, inter-governmental intelligence operations since 9/11. He was awarded the Intelligence Neighborhood Seal Medallion, the best civilian intelligence company ornament for contractors, for his counter-terrorist operations within the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia. His work within the Philippines was described in an article by Mark Bowden within the Atlantic Month-to-month in March 2007, “Jihadists in Paradise.”
Within the US Air Pressure, Kent was a Vietnamese linguist, finishing language coaching at DLI in Monterey, CA. He served for 3 years at Clark AB within the Philippines.
Kent’s academic background features a BA in Southeast Asian Research-Linguistics from SUNYExcelsiorCollege and an MA in Linguistics and Enterprise from OhioUniversity, in addition to graduate research in Educational Design at Southern Illinois College, Carbondale. He has kind of linguistic experience in Vietnamese, Italian, Malay/Indonesian, Spanish, and Arabic. He’s a member of the Worldwide Affiliation for Intelligence Training; the Society of Aggressive Intelligence Professionals, and the Affiliation for Intelligence Officers.
