Cockleshell Heroes Remembered in Southsea 25.03.14



The Royal Marines have held a service in honour of former comrades who took half in a daring raid within the Second World Struggle.

The Cockleshell Heroes, Commandos who sneaked into the occupied port of Bordeaux in canoes to explode German ships, have been remembered on the Royal Marines Museum.

It was additionally an event for Portsmouth to commemorate this 12 months’s 350th anniversary of the Royal Marines.
