Ben Fortier served in Iraq as a mortarman with 1st Battalion twenty fifth Marine Regiment. Ben performs guitar, drums, and makes use of poetry to encourage tune lyrics. His assortment of poems Phantom was the 2024 winner of the Robert A. Gannon award.
