Govt Order on Increasing Eligibility For Sure Army Decorations And Awards


     By the authority vested in me as President and as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the USA by the Structure and the legal guidelines of the USA of America, the next Govt Orders are amended as follows:

     Part 1.  Amendments to Govt Order 9158.  Govt Order 9158 of Might 11, 1942 (Air Medal), as amended by Govt Order 9242-A of September 11, 1942 (Amending Govt Order No. 9158 of Might 11, 1942, to Present that the Air Medal Might Be Awarded to Individuals Serving with the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard of the USA), is additional amended as follows:
          (a)  The primary paragraph is amended—
               (i)    by putting “Army and Navy” and inserting in lieu thereof “Armed Forces”;
               (ii)   by putting “any particular person” and inserting in lieu thereof “these people”;
               (iii)  by inserting “Air Power, Area Power,” after “Marine Corps,”; and
               (iv)   by putting “distinguishes, or has distinguished, himself” and inserting in lieu thereof “distinguish, or have distinguished, themselves”.
          (b)  The second paragraph is amended—
               (i)   by amending the primary sentence to learn as follows:  “The Air Medal and appurtenances thereto shall be of applicable design authorised by the Secretary of Protection and, underneath such laws because the Secretaries of the navy departments could prescribe, could also be awarded by the Secretary of the Army, the Secretary of the Navy, the Secretary of the Air Power, or the Secretary of Homeland Safety with respect to the Coast Guard when it’s not working as a service within the Navy, or by such commanding officers of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Power, Area Power, or Coast Guard because the stated Secretaries could respectively designate.”; and
               (ii)  within the second sentence, by putting “his jurisdiction” and inserting in lieu thereof “the jurisdiction of the Navy”.
          (c)  The next new paragraph is added on the finish of the Govt Order:  “The laws of the Secretaries of the navy departments involved with respect to the award of the Air Medal shall, as far as practicable, be uniform and shall be topic to the approval of the Secretary of Protection.”.

     Sec. 2.  Amendments to Govt Order 8809.  Govt Order 8809 of June 28, 1941 (Good Conduct Medal), as amended by Govt Order 9323 of March 31, 1943 (Modification of Govt Order No. 8809 of June 28, 1941, Establishing the Good Conduct Medal), and Govt Order 10444 of April 10, 1953 (Modification of Govt Order No. 8809 of June 28, 1941, Establishing the Good Conduct Medal, As Amended by Govt Order No. 9323 of March 31, 1943), is additional amended—
          (a)  by putting “males” and inserting in lieu thereof “members”;
          (b)  by inserting “and on or after December 20, 2019, within the case of the USA Area Power,” after “August 27, 1940,”;
          (c)  by inserting “and on or after December 20, 2019, within the case of the USA Area Power,” after “December 7, 1941,”; and
          (d)  by inserting “, and on or after December 20, 2019, within the case of the USA Area Power” after “June 27, 1950”.

     Sec. 3.  Amendments to Govt Order 10694.  Paragraph 1 of Govt Order 10694 of January 10, 1957 (Authorizing the Secretaries of the Army, Navy, and Air Power to Subject Citations within the Title of the President of the USA to Army and Naval Units for Excellent Efficiency in Motion), is amended by inserting “, and on or after December 20, 2019, within the case of the Area Power” after “or the Air Power”.

     Sec. 4.  Amendments to Govt Order 11046.  Paragraph 1 of Govt Order 11046 of August 24, 1962 (Authorizing Award of the Bronze Star Medal), is amended—
          (a)  by putting “Transportation” and inserting in lieu thereof “Homeland Safety”;
          (b)  by putting “any particular person” and inserting in lieu thereof “these people”;
          (c)  by inserting “Area Power,” after “Air Power,”; and
          (d)  by putting “distinguishes, or has distinguished, himself” and inserting in lieu thereof “distinguish, or have distinguished, themselves”.

     Sec. 5.  Amendments to Govt Order 13830.  Govt Order 13830 of April 20, 2018 (Delegation of Authority to Approve Sure Army Decorations), is amended as follows:
          (a)  The paragraph previous part 1 is amended—
               (i)   by putting “3742, 3743, 3746, 3749, 3750, 6242, 6243, 6244, 6245, 6246, 8742, 8743, 8746, 8749, and 8750” and inserting in lieu thereof “7272, 7273, 7276, 7279, 7280, 8292, 8293, 8294, 8295, 8296, 9272, 9273, 9276, 9279, 9280, and 9280a”; and
               (ii)  by putting “491a, 492, 492a, 492b, and 493” and inserting in lieu thereof “2735, 2736, 2737, 2738, and 2739”.
          (b)  Part 1 is amended—
               (i)    by putting “any particular person” and inserting in lieu thereof “these people”;
               (ii)   by inserting “Area Power,” after “Air Power,”; and
               (iii)  by putting “distinguishes himself or herself” and inserting in lieu thereof “distinguish themselves”.
          (c)  Part 2 is amended—
               (i)    by putting “any particular person” and inserting in lieu thereof “these people”;
               (ii)   by inserting “Area Power,” after “Air Power,”; and
               (iii)  by putting “distinguishes himself or herself” and inserting in lieu thereof “distinguish themselves”.
          (d)  Part 3 is amended by inserting “Area Power,” after “Air Power,”.
          (e)  Part 4 is amended—
               (i)   in paragraph (a)—
                    (A)  by putting “any member” and inserting in lieu thereof “members”; and
                    (B)  by putting “has distinguished himself or herself” and inserting in lieu thereof “distinguish themselves”; and
               (ii)  in paragraph (c), by putting “his”.
          (f)  Part 5(a) is amended—
               (i)   by putting “any eligible particular person” and inserting in lieu thereof “eligible individuals”; and
               (ii)  by putting “distinguishes himself or herself” and inserting in lieu thereof “distinguish themselves”.
          (g)  Part 6(a) is amended—
               (i)   by putting “any particular person” and inserting in lieu thereof “these people”; and
               (ii)  by putting “distinguishes himself or herself” and inserting in lieu thereof “distinguish themselves”.

     Sec. 6.  Amendments to Govt Order 11545.  Govt Order 11545 of July 9, 1970 (Establishing the Protection Distinguished Service Medal), is amended as follows:
          (a)  Part 1 is amended by putting “navy officer” and inserting in lieu thereof “member of the Armed Forces of the USA”.
          (b)  Part 2 is amended by putting “he” and inserting in lieu thereof “the Secretary”.

     Sec. 7.  Basic Provisions.  (a)  Nothing on this order shall be construed to impair or in any other case have an effect on:
               (i)   the authority granted by regulation to an government division or company, or the top thereof; or
               (ii)  the capabilities of the Director of the Workplace of Administration and Funds referring to budgetary, administrative, or legislative proposals.
          (b)  This order shall be carried out in step with relevant regulation and topic to the supply of appropriations.
          (c)  This order is just not meant to, and doesn’t, create any proper or profit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at regulation or in fairness by any social gathering towards the USA, its departments, companies, or entities, its officers, staff, or brokers, or another particular person.
