HMS Richmond has returned to Portsmouth Naval Base, following a seven-month Atlantic patrol conducting maritime safety operations, working with overseas navies and strengthening ties within the area.
The Kind 23 frigate has spent 2,881 hours at sea, lined 33,316 nautical miles, visited seven overseas nations (Portugal, Cape Verde, South Africa, Panama, Colombia, Bahamas and the US of America) and 5 British Abroad Territories (Ascension Island, St Helena, Falkland Islands, Tristan da Cunha and South Georgia).
