On August 6, 1945, the world witnessed a terrifying new weapon: the atomic bomb, which destroyed Hiroshima and claimed 140,000 lives. Simply seven years later, an much more highly effective weapon emerged—the hydrogen bomb, able to devastating all the things inside a ten-mile radius. With over 10,000 nuclear bombs in existence right this moment, these weapons could cause unimaginable destruction. However what makes these weapons so highly effective?
