Among the British Army’s largest automobiles are inflicting massive adjustments in Aldershot.
The garrison city is now residence to 2 mechanised infantry battalions, and the arrival of their big Ridgeback and Mastiff automobiles has meant some roads have needed to be completely closed.
It is a part of the Army 2020 reforms, which have seen 4 RIFLES and 1st Battalion Scots Guards transfer to Aldershot.
Designed for the broad, open areas of Afghanistan, the automobiles are actually getting used for driver coaching within the city.
And maybe unsurprisingly, the Army don’t need unsuspecting members of the general public inadvertently coming throughout one at the hours of darkness…
