Navy’s latest assault submarine, the Newport News-built USS Montana, completes first sea trials

The USS Montana undergoes preliminary sea trials off the Virginia coast. Development of the Montana started in 2015. The boat is the twenty first Virginia-class submarine constructed as a part of the teaming partnership of Newport News Shipbuilding and Normal Dynamics’ Electrical Boat yard in Connecticut.
