New navy bases in western Russia in response

Russian Protection Minister Sergei Shoigu stated on Friday that Moscow would create new navy bases in western Russia in response to the growth of NATO, AFP reported.

“By the tip of the yr, 12 navy models and divisions can be established within the Western Army District,” Shoigu stated at a gathering in televised remarks.

The military expects to obtain greater than two thousand models of navy tools and weapons, Shoigu added.

Russian President Vladimir Putin despatched troops to pro-Western Ukraine on February 24.

Moscow’s navy marketing campaign shook Sweden and Finland that — after a long time of navy non-alignment — determined to hunt NATO membership regardless of warnings from the Kremlin.
