Ray Flood, NYPD Emergency Service Unit (ESU): Remembering the 9/11 assaults, Ep. 59



Ray Flood served in NYPD’s Emergency Companies Unit which offers with excessive threat entry and rescue missions. Ray talks to us about how he joined ESU, the coaching, the tools, and the mission. We talk about speaking to, and if want be grabbing, jumpers on bridges and buildings within the New York Metropolis. One notable operation was when passengers received caught within the tram that runs from Manhattan to Roosevelt Island. ESU efficiently rescued everybody from the tram that night time. Subsequent, we discuss his experiences at floor zero and the horrific days continuing the 9/11 assaults.
