Royal Navy Girls’s Department Is Remembered In New Exhibition | Forces TV



The centenary of the formation of the Girls’s Royal Naval Service is being marked with new exhibition on the Outdated Royal Naval School at Greenwich. The WRNS was fashioned in the course of the First World Struggle at a time of disaster and a scarcity of manpower. The primary group of girls joined the Royal Naval School in 1918 as cooks, drivers and telephonists in order that males could possibly be launched for service at sea.
