Russia’s conflict ally Belarus to carry armed forces inspection


LONDON, Oct 11 (Reuters) – Russian ally Belarus, which has let Moscow’s military launch assaults on Ukraine from its territory, stated on Tuesday it was starting a navy inspection to make sure “fight readiness”.

President Alexander Lukashenko has in current months repeatedly claimed that Ukraine is getting ready to assault Belarus, although he has supplied no proof.

“Through the inspection, navy models and sub-units will work out the problems of placing on fight readiness,” the Defence Ministry stated of the train starting on Tuesday.

Although Belarusian models haven’t immediately taken half in Russia’s invasion, Minsk has enabled missile strikes and Russian troop incursions from its territory, leading to deepened Western sanctions.
