The final airworthy Gloster Meteor of its variety has made its closing flight at Bruntingthorpe Airfield in Leicestershire. It’s the final airworthy army model of the plane. Coming into service in 1943, the Meteor was the primary fighter jet utilized by the RAF and was the one Allied jet to see fight within the Second World Conflict.
