Francis Villanueva had wonderful entry to the Mild Response Regiment (LRR) of the Philippines in writing his e-book about them referred to as “Tiradores” which suggests shooters. The LRR is the Philippines model of Delta Pressure, educated by US Special Forces, they conduct a number of the most harmful and awe inspiring operations that few have ever heard about. The federal government intentionally attributes their operations to different models whereas the LRR stays within the shadows, till now. In our interview, Francis talks about how and why the LRR was created and their largest challenges throughout full blown city warfare in Zamboanga and Marawi.
