The WW2 Dakota Airmen Who Drifted To Their Deaths



Twenty-three crew and passengers who died when their Royal Air Power Dakota transport airplane got here down over southern Germany in September 1944 have been honoured on the crash website.

It follows painstaking archaeological analysis to pinpoint precisely the place the plane hit the bottom.

Now a everlasting memorial has been unveiled on the website and witnessed by households and representatives from the UK, Canada and Australia.
