28 Engineer Regiment have been saying farewell to Hameln in Germany.
The unit is being disbanded on account of defence cuts and Army restructuring.
As Rob Olver studies, it marks the top of a British presence within the city, additionally well-known for its Pied Piper, that dates again to 1945.
