Gulf Struggle Commander Recollects Swift Land Battle Towards Saddam Hussein



The person who commanded the Desert Rats throughout the first Gulf Struggle has been talking about his recollections of the battle 25 years on from invasion.

Main Basic Patrick Cordingley says he was stunned when seventh Armoured Brigade was chosen however he says they had been the very best for the job.

They deployed in October 1990 to the desert in Saudi Arabia and spent six months there forward of the bottom offensive. Morale he says was good and the models had been very nicely educated.
