SEOUL, Jan. 19 (Yonhap) — South Korea’s high army officer instructed chiefs of the nation’s abroad army contingents to keep up a “excellent” safety posture throughout video calls Thursday forward of the Lunar New 12 months vacation, his workplace mentioned.
Joint Chiefs of Workers (JCS) Chairman Gen. Kim Seung-kyum made the calls to encourage troops of the abroad contingents. The most important nationwide vacation runs from Saturday by way of Tuesday.

South Korea at the moment has some 1,000 service members stationed in abroad contingents.
The models embody the U.N. peacekeeping Behavior unit in South Sudan, the Dongmyeong unit working as a part of the U.N. Interim Forces in Lebanon, the Akh unit within the United Arab Emirates and the anti-piracy Cheonghae unit in waters off Somalia.
