North Carolina confronted a spiraling statewide disaster on Sunday as Tropical Despair Florence slowly ravaged the South, flooding cities, sending 1000’s into shelters and endangering communities alongside the shoreline. What began with a colossal Cat. 4 Hurricane risk devestated us with flooding and steady rain. The storm has killed at the very least 17 individuals in america to date. The deaths embody a mom and baby who died after a tree fell on their house in Wilmington. Areas like Jacksonville, New Bern, Hampstead and Wilmington are nonetheless underwater. Hog farms in our space have contaminated our water leaving us with no clear water, no energy and restricted cellular phone service. Most of our space is underwater.
This space hosts Camp LeJuene Marine Corps base in addition to house to 1000’s of Marine Corps veterans. The Raider Challenge is a non-profit
program of GallantFew positioned in Holly Ridge North Carolina dedicated to helping veterans and their households of their transition out of the army.
