Col. Ryan Ehrler is the commander of 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), which is regionally-aligned with the INDOPACOM space of accountability. A graduate of each the U.S. Naval Warfare School and U.S. Army Warfare School, Col. Ehrler beforehand served as 1st SFG(A)’s deputy commander and has quite a few deployments throughout the Center East, to incorporate Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria, in addition to North and West Africa.
