A George Cross belonging to a feminine undercover agent has bought at public sale for a document worth.
Nevertheless, the medal, given posthumously to Second World Battle operative Violette Szabo will stay within the public eye.
It was purchased by Lord Ashcroft for £260,000 and can go on show within the Imperial Battle Museum.
